Sustainable Manufacturing and Plant Tour of Subaru
Tour will include bus and lunch
In celebration of Earth Day on April 21st, The Chicago Roundtable invites you to join us for a tour of Subaru. The Subaru Tour showcases state of the art sustainable manufacturing and features lunch and a tour of their world class facility.
Bring a friend and network with logistics professionals from Indiana, Michigan, Illinois and Wisconsin on our trip to the plant.

8:00 am Departure from 333 E. Butterfield Rd. Lombard, IL 60148
Depart from CSCMP headquarters in Lombard, IL. Bus ride to Lafayette will take
about 2½ hours. Further info will be delivered after you register for the event. For

You will see the auto manufacturing process from beginning to end as a guide leads you through the plant. The tour will also highlight how Subaru’s commitment to safety, quality, and environmental responsibility affects its manufacturing process.
Among the tour’s highlights:
- We will watch the metal part-making process from the raw steel coils to finished
body panels in Stamping. - In the Body Shop, see how parts are welded and connected to form the body of the vehicle.
- Look into the Paint Shop to see part of the extensive six-coat painting process
Subaru’s vehicles go through. - See how it all comes together in the Trim and Final department.
- Watch as the assembly line transforms empty auto bodies into working vehicles.
- Check out the series of quality tests that every completed vehicle goes through on our Tester Line.
You can expect to walk one mile along an elevated catwalk on the tour. You are encouraged to wear flat, closed-toe shoes and be ready to negotiate more than 90 up-and-down steps on the catwalk tour. We can accommodate up to 7 people at a time who may experience difficulty with the walk by using a golf cart.

$40 - member/non-member (Bus Trip, Tour plus lunch)
$30 - Lunch and Tour - no bus. Meet us for Lunch and Tour.
