Vicki A. O’Meara, President – U.S. Supply Chain Solutions – Ryder System, Inc. Managing Change through Outsourcing As President, Ms. O’Meara is responsible for the business segment providing supply chain management & logistics, design, engineering, planning and implementation, as well as Dedicated Contract Carriage, a turnkey transportation package that includes vehicles, provision of drivers, and routing and scheduling services. Ms. O’Meara serves on the Ryder Executive Leadership and Strategy Teams. In her role as President, she has developed a unique perspective on the benefits of Outsourcing and will share with us the ways in which Outsourcing can be used to manage and even facilitate change. |

Ms.
O'Meara joined Ryder as EVP and General Counsel in June, 1997 after a law
career that included serving as a Partner in the Chicago office of Jones
Day Reavis & Pogue and before that having served the U.S. Government
in many roles including:
Assistant Attorney General; Deputy General Counsel of the EPA; Assistant to the General Counsel in the Office of the Secretary of the Army. From 1986-87 she was a White House Fellow. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree cum laude from Cornell University where she was selected as the outstanding Senior and a Law Degree from Northwestern University where she was Executive Editor of the Law Review. She also has a Masters of Arts in Environmental Science and Resource Policy from George Washington University. |
