Jim has written or contributed to more than 25 books including Logistics and Manufacturing and co-authored Facilities Planning, the world's standard science text for the planning and designing of industrial facilities. This spring his new book Bold Leadership will be published. A well-known and respected author, he has also written over 500 articles and made more than 3000 presentations to audiences throughout the world. He is regularly quoted in business and industry magazines such as Supply & Demand Chain Executive, Fortune, Modern Materials Handling and DC Velocity.

He holds a B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University.
