08-20-15 End of Summer Soirée
Event Overview:
CSMP’s Signature Programs Year Kick-Off Networking Event. Join us for an evening of networking at a unique venue celebrating Chicago’s history. Chuck Cooper, former COO and Executive Officer for Helene Curtis (and Herb Shields from IIT) will share some stories about Helene Curtis’ journey in selecting their former Headquarters as well as Helene Curtis’ supply chain history in Chicago prior to being acquired by Unilever.
About the Venue:
DIRTT’s penthouse suite overlooks the Chicago River from the top of Gustav Hallberg’s 1912 Chase & Sanborn Coffee Company Warehouse building. The DIRTT space was designed in 1985 by Booth Hansen & Associates as the boardroom and executive offices of Helene Curtis Industries, Inc.
Prominently located in the 10th Floor Penthouse of the Helene Curtis building at 325 N. Wells next to the Chicago Merchandise Mart, the building is one of just two former warehouse buildings still standing on the main branch of the Chicago River.
The penthouse with breathtaking views of the Chicago River and skyline, now home to the Green Learning Center, is a place where DIRTT (“Doing It Right This Time”) shares solutions for sustainable interior construction and ideas about how to build better.
