Event Overview:
The COVID-19 Pandemic has caused disruptions to the Global Supply Chain. To understand how this pandemic is impacting port traffic, the CSCMP Chicago and Spain Roundtables have assembled a panel of Port leaders from Georgia Ports Authority, Illinois International Port District, and Port Authority of Cartagena Spain to discuss.

Clayton Harris III
Executive Director, Illinois International Port District
Clayton Harris III was selected to lead the Illinois International Port District in May of 2016. As Executive Director, he is committed to developing and maintaining a world-class port that operates as a modern, strategically driven facility and is focused on generating and expanding economic activity and employment for the benefit of the City of Chicago, State of Illinois, and the global market.
Clayton was formerly assistant to the Mayor of Chicago, Chief of Staff at IDOT, Deputy Chief of Staff over infrastructure for Illinois, Chief of Staff to the Governor of Illinois and most recently, the Director of Government Affairs for the Midwest United States with CH2M HILL, a global engineering design/build consulting firm.
Clayton received his Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Technology from Middle Tennessee State University and while working at the Pentagon in Combat Systems Engineering in the Ballistic Missile Defense Organization attended the Howard University School of law and is currently a professor of public policy at the University of Chicago.

Director of Strategic Operations, Georgia Ports Authority
Duke has 14 years of experience in terminal operations. Currently the Director of Strategic Operations for the Georgia Ports Authority. Prior to joining the Strategic Operations team at GPA, I spent 9 years with CSX Intermodal Terminals.
My last role with CSX was as Director of Terminal Operations over the Southwest. In addition, during my time with CSX I helped open and operate the Northwest Ohio facility, as well as overseeing other projects including implementation of the transition from manual to remote operations at the CSX Winter Haven facility in Winter Haven, FL. I began my career with APM Terminals in Charleston, SC.
Jose María Gómez Fuster
Chief Operating Officer, Port Authority of Cartagena
With over 18 years of experience in several fields of engineering, Mr. Gomez has been devoted to port management for the last 12 years, holding different positions in the Port Authority of Cartagena. Nowadays, he is the COO of the Port Authority, and his activity is focused on optimizing infrastructure and resources of the port to boost Regional economy and on making a more efficient, safer and more sustainable Port.
With a background on civil engineering, he completed his studies at the University of California, where he obtained a MS in civil engineering. He also holds several masters in Port Management, Operations and a MBA. He also is a lecturer in the Polytechnic University of Cartagena.

Utkarsh Mathur is currently Supply Chain Analyst at BridgeNet Solutions responsible for Data Analytics, end-to-end Supply Chain Visibility, Business Intelligence, Optimization, Product Development, and Implementation.
Utkarsh is a Supply Chain Professional with 4+ years of experience in the logistics and supply chain industry. Skilled in Network Optimization, Transportation solutions, Business Intelligence, RFP process, Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Logistics Management, and Lean Manufacturing. Strong operations professional with a Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management from Illinois Institute of Technology and MicroMasters in Supply Chain Management from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Utkarsh is an active member of CSCMP (Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals) since 2016 and held various positions in the CSCMP Chicago Board. He is currently YP Chair Chicago Roundtable.
